Tom Allan and Mark Sydenham from thebikestation.org.uk are launching an Edinburgh 'Inner Tube' map later this month. It's described in this article as 'a London Underground style map of Edinburgh's cycle path network', which sounds very exciting. Will it be supported by adequate signage on the road - a crucial component of making a cycle network as easily navigable as the Tube and its map? We'll get to see the design 'within the next fortnight'. Watch this space.
London's True Colours:
a film for the London Cycle Map Campaign
London's True Colours (above) is a new film showing what the London Cycle Map Campaign is all about. It was animated by Stuart France.
Our campaign and associated petition promises to change the capital forever, by giving more people the confidence to cycle and to do so in safety.
The big idea is to create a single London Cycle Map that’s clear and easy to use and corresponds to a unified network of signed cycle routes throughout Greater London: the cycling equivalent of the London Underground Map.

Written by Ben Irvine, Einstein and the Art of Mindful Cycling is a book all about how inspiring cycling can be.
Through stories, fascinating facts and a few lessons in mindful living, Ben shows how cyclists can develop an enlightened outlook similar to Albert Einstein’s – practical, creative, communal and global all at once.
